Museum iCOON
iCOON Hoek van Holland is situated in a beautiful spot in the Voorduin, ‘wedged’ between the Nieuwe Waterweg and the North Sea. A small-scale country estate of high quality (partly in progress). Where it is nice to be even if you have nothing to do with art. Inside, in the former ammunition bunker, a museum for minimalist art & design. Outside, a dune landscape with beautiful flora, fauna and a nice terrace. With respect for the history of the area, artist Joram Raaijmakers designed a lookout tower based on the watchtowers from the Cold War. For bon vivants, maritime, nature and heritage lovers. The placement is planned for April 2025. Artist Krijn de Koning designed an above-ground tunnel system, based on the thickness of the walls of the bunker. This second experience of the country estate is still in preparation.
